MOUTH MUSIC A CAPPELLA
FALL 2019 TEEN ENSEMBLES
We are pleased to be offering our first ever Auditioned Louisville Mouth Music for Teens this Fall!
Singers will learn and perform fun, modern, cutting-edge arrangements within a “vocal band” (a cappella group) setting. Together, this new group will learn a variety of songs while working on skills like tuning, blend, dynamics, harmony, balance, stage presence, blocking AND depending on the progress of the group, possibly choreography… all with the ultimate goal of performing a final showcase at the end of the term.
Open to incoming 7th grade through outgoing 12th grade students.

Audition Process: Auditions are as easy as 1-2-3!
- Complete the Registration form for the A Cappella program by clicking on the registration link or the Click Here to Register button,
- Submit your Audition fee of $35 (Fee applies toward the registration fee upon approval. If not accepted, the Audition fee is 100% refundable! However, if you are accepted but decide not to participate, the fee is not refundable.) You can also choose to pay the full tuition at the time of registration.
- Submit one video or audio link of your recording of you singing a verse and chorus of any song (not classical) that you feel demonstrates your best singing to our primary email address. We have provided 2 warm up videos (one for males, one for females) for you to sing along with to demonstrate your range. They are easy to follow and short!
We are not looking for folks to sing higher or lower than they are comfortable. We just want to hear where your voice sounds the best so we know where to place everyone!
Due Date: Submissions are due by Friday, August 30, 2019
NOTE: Auditions will not be accepted without completing Registration and the Audition Fee.

Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 9/4, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, Sunday 11/3 at 11:00-12:30pm
Time: 5:00-6:15pm
Performance: Two performances! The first with Rock Choir Colorado is expected to be, but not yet conformed, in the range of November 6th through November 12th. Details TBA. The second will be November 12th at 7pm with Coal Creek Community Chorus at Ascent Community Church (see each page for details.)

Co-Instructor: TBA
Cody Qualls from Face Vocal Band will be our resident master class presenter and vocal coach to the group as well as the Lead Instructor. Due to Face Vocal Band’s intense touring schedule, this class will have a co-director on occasion.
